Subtraction Tunnel Ball

We had some great competition going on in our classroom this week.

We played subtraction tunnel ball!!

The class was divided into two even teams. Each team had a big sheet of subtraction sums- both teams had the same sums. Each team member each had a turn at answering a subtraction sum and then passed the marker through their legs to their team mate, just like real tunnel ball.

Once all questions had been completed, team members had to sit down. We also challenged ourselves and did some addition problems as well!

The kids really enjoyed this activity and showed great sportsmanship even if they lost.

Here are some pictures of our race.

Busy First 2 Weeks!!

What a great start to term 2!

It has been extremely busy with some very special events and fun activities that the students are participating in.

Here are a few videos of all the exciting things that have been happening at our school.

We tried to find objects in our room that were longer than 3 icy pole sticks but shorter than 4 icy pole sticks. We then went outside and measured out feet size using different objects.
